Tips For Buying Short Form Tv Spots

By: Robert Melkonyan Home | Business | Marketing

Short form TV may be purchased as early as a week before the air date. Additionally, this method of marketing your product is very flexible meaning you can create the campaign that will work best for your product and easily change any aspect that does not appear to be working well. One of the best tips to follow is to air the ad during all parts of the day on many different stations. Doing this will allow your product to be seen by many different markets, which truly increases your audience and the likelihood of selling more products. When you are just starting to market you product you will find that this is a great plan and that the production costs for short form TV are considerably lower than for long-form TV.

Since the short form TV spot will be inserted in many time slots across many stations, visibility of the product/service will be much higher. Viewers will be more likely to respond to your infomercial because of the contact information that is provided. Being able to immediately pick up the phone and call or visit the website makes it much easier for individuals to respond.

Remember, too, that some months are better for advertising on short form TV than others. When you create your marketing campaign you will want to take into consideration what months are best for this type of advertising and what months are not as beneficial. For example, the months of December, January, February, and March are quite effective at getting viewers to pick up the phone and call. This is partly because of the holidays, New Year's resolutions, and the like. Take advantage of these because these are the best months out of the year for short form TV.

The next best months are July and August followed April and November. The worst months of all are September, May and June. Knowing what months are not that successful when it comes to short form TV will allow you to focus on other types of marketing during those months while putting as many infomercials on television in short form TV format during the best months.

It is important to create a short form TV campaign for a year at a time in order to create a plan and determine how to best market a product. Remember, don't put all of your eggs in one basket. Instead, include short form TV advertising with a mix of other types of advertising for best results.
