Tips For Trade Show Displays

By: Brent Smookler Home | Business

In order to create a successful presentation, there are a number of tips you need to follow when organizing your trade show display. The most important thing to consider at trade shows is how you present your product. It is important to make sure that you market your product properly, and in a professional manner, because you will probably be competing against several hundred other vendors. You will notice that the displays receiving the most visitors and attention are those that have invested time and thorough consideration before ever designing their display booth. Because there are so many venders, it is important to take time to organize your trade show marketing plan so that, not only will it draw trade show attendees to your product, but it will be intriguing enough that they will buy the product.

The product or service you are marketing is perceived by the customer only as good as your display presents it. You may have the greatest product in the world but, if you do not organize and market it properly, few people will visit your display. The first thing you want to consider when organizing your display at a trade show is that you keep it neat, uncluttered, and make sure the focus is on the product. Make sure that table top displays are always set up so the customer can see them at eye-level. Also ensure that you post any informational signs and product displays on the table, so that the first impression the customer receives will be of the product.

A messy and disorganized display will either cause customers to avoid your display altogether or, if they do visit it, not to linger. It is important that information be clear and easily understood because there are so many distractions at trade shows to turn customers in other directions. If customers cannot easily see the basic information about your product, they will be easily turned off and trail on to the next trade show display booth.

The second important rule to follow when setting up your display is that you make the customer feel that your product or service is in demand. It’s a fact that, when a customer believes that a certain product is highly-demanded, they will be more likely to become attracted to the product themselves. There are a number of ways you can incorporate this into your trade show display. A simple way to generate some excitement about your product is to place a sign on several items stating that they are already sold. Customers are always interested when they feel a product is selling well and others are interested in it too.

Creating an interactive display is perhaps one of the most important rules to consider when you design your trade show display. Having brochures and making it easy to see and read signs will help people notice your display, but it will not draw in huge amounts of traffic. Having an interactive display will cause more people to visit your table. An interactive display simply means having your product displayed in a pleasing manner and available for customers to use and see. It doesn't have to involve high-tech gimmicks and such.

If you include raffles and other types of games in your display, you will draw the attention of customers and create a sense of excitement about your display. Set up various scenarios where customers can try out your product in their everyday life scenarios. Once you have done this, they will see that your product will truly increase the quality of their lives.
