Tips To Start A Freelance Career

By: ajuas Home | Internet-and-Business | Site-Promotion

I am writing this article from my own experience as freelancer, I believe that every professional is having an interest in his mind to start a freelance business even if he is highly paid by his employer. While planning to start a freelance career you will try to get freelance tools, so that you that you can achieve your goal as freelancer.

There are so many things to be taken care of never trust anyone blindly. Every freelancer will be surfing on the internet for projects but be careful while selecting an agency or client. Always keep away from the client or agency on the Internet but fail to give detailed contact information. While you take a freelance job if you have any doubt about the client it will be better not make a deal with that client so that you avoid chasing them for your money. If you are working in some company and you plan to start a freelance career it will be better to start as a side business, try to work in free time and during weekends.

If you get full confidence that you can establish yourself as a freelancer then just quit from your job and be a full time freelancer. While you are working as a freelancer always you should keep in mind that if a client select you to do his freelance work its because the client is confident that you can complete his work. Make sure that you complete the work on time and never make any false promises regarding the time of completion of work.

Always be clear about your terms of payment, It will be better to charge down payment for larger projects, of about 20 to 25%. Demand to be paid in various phases as the project moves along. Tell your client that you will need money for your own expenses during the duration of the project. If the client say that he can’t pay you anything in advance then just think twice while you plan to work for him. The client may also be doubtful about advance payment, so just tell him to escrow money, so that there won’t be chance for any payment issues between the client and the freelancer in future.
