Who could possibly think that a muscular man dressed in a leotard could bring so much laughter and hope to other s on the movie screen. Many of us remember the Tooth Fairy, The Easter Bunny and Santa Claus and how these legend icons impacted the spirit of kids and adults. You can watch movies online nowadays but this is a family movie to enjoy in the theatres. Derek Johnson plays the role of Dwayne who is a pretty hard up character who is a hockey player that is depicted in a movie as a guy that gives it to anyone straight even children. You don’t have to watch this movie online to feel the anger that Dwayne’s girlfriend, played by Ashley Judd, felt when she stopped her boyfriend from crushing her daughter’s belief of the Tooth Fairy. Much of the irony is presented in Dwayne’s nick name on his hockey team which is the Tooth Fairy...better known for knocking people’s teeth out at games. But when Dwayne (Derek Johnson) discovers that the tooth fairy is not just a single acting fairy but a whole army of fairies it brings many surprises and laughs to this on screen movie. Dwayne was summoned by the Department of Dissemination when he nearly crushed the spirits of a little girl by revealing what he believed to be the truth about the tooth fairies. The movie really becomes funny and interesting when the executive fairy played by Judith Andrews and the Fairy Social worker Tracy (Stephen Merchant) characters enters into the movie. Merchant is a smart fairy that doesn’t have wings like the other tooth fairies but he inspires to earn his wings someday. When Dwayne and Tracy tag up together it is shear comedy that is brought to the movie screen. Billy Crystal’s role as the issuer of the magic weapons that are used so that tooth fairies can complete the mission of taking the child’s tooth is a must see!! From cat spray to fairy dust, it is amazing what a fairy must undergo to complete their mission and not disappoint the children. Merchant’s desires for wings and Judith Andrews role as the executive fairy ties together the plot of the story as well as it focuses on beliefs. All people need to do is believe that what they want is real and focus on it. Sometimes it is best to watch movies online but the tooth fairy is a definite must see in theatres!! Adults and kids would love this movie even though it challenges the existence of fairies!
