Top Pay Per Click Choices

By: Patrick Connor Home | Business

Knowing the best place to attract customers is one of the key elements of good business. The location of your product is essential for decision makers. Visibility encourages accessibility, and higher accessibility is more likely to result in better sales and higher revenues.

In online businesses, search engines can be wise choices for making a product visible for a large group of potential customers. Search engines nowadays are not just for search queries anymore. They have made a way to increase their earnings while still serving the search needs of millions of internet users. A pay per click marketing or advertising strategy is a win-win solution for both search engine operators and advertisers or product owners.

Moreover, there are now search engines whose primary role is to serve the interests and needs of advertisers more than search queries from web browsers. This is a very welcome development since it makes product selling easier for business enterprises and quicker product purchasing for customers as well. All parties involved are at an advantage with PPC marketing through search engines.

But with so many PPC search engines around, the problem then lies in choosing which among the search engines make the better or even the best choices. In my attempt to help those who are in need of information, let me share my knowledge on some of the better choices for your reading pleasure.

First on the list of course is Yahoo! Search Marketing. This PPC search engine is very highly professional, well-maintained search engine. It started operations of being a PPC search engine way back in 1997. Since then, it has been a trusted choice for many advertisers. It started as GoTo.com, then became Overture, and then as Yahoo! Search Marketing starting 2005.

Its main product is Sponsored Search. This product responds alongside the results of search queries. When a search is done, Sponsored Search provides sponsored listings available for as many as 80 percent of active internet users. One feature of Sponsored Search, Content Match, renders good service. It widens the reach of an advertisement through online publishers, newsletters, and emails. Your ad will not just simply appear in search results and ranking. Your advertisement can be placed near contents like articles, product features, and product reviews related to your product. Yahoo! Search Marketing services also come with competent tutorial and trouble shooting features. It gives you detailed report tools that can monitor the performance of your traffic and the effectiveness of your PPC advertisement campaign. It also has a Keyword Selector Tool (helps in choosing keywords) and View Bids Tool (updates list of bids).

As far as I know, the PPC services of Yahoo! are available in two sign-up plans. The FastTrack plan costs $199 and the SelfServe is for free. The first plan provides your site an edge by recommending efficient search terms based on your website's content and Yahoo!'s standing rules and guidelines. The second one requires you to build your own PPC campaign.

Another good choice for a PPC search engine is MIVA, formerly known as FindWhat. Its AdAnalyzer tool is an outstanding post-click monitoring device that enables advertisers to completely control their campaign. It is capable of showing actual returns of investments through the keywords and the campaign as a whole. MIVA also comes with a campaign scheduler allowing advertisers to set the date for the beginning and termination of their campaigns. When you use the services of MIVA, you have full control in setting up your own uniform resource locator (URL). You may even change titles, descriptions, keywords, and bids. The minimum deposit for MIVA is at $25 and the minimum bid is 5 cents for a traffic that is even better that of the bigger search engines'.

MIVA as well as Yahoo! Search Marketing are just two of the many PPC search engines out there. I will read more on the others and ask about other choices from people I know who have used search engines to market all their products. Really, knowing more choices for your product advertisement helps you a lot in choosing the right one. You may also opt for affiliate programs or other modes of online advertisements.
