Walt Disney World is a magical place located near Lake Buena Vista near Orlando Florida. It was built in 1971, five years after the Walt Disney the man whose vision was behind the park had died. It is one of the most famous popular theme park resort in the world. Walt Disney World has four theme parks which are known as the Magic kingdom, Epcot, Hollywood Studios and Disney Animal Kingdom. There are also two water based theme parks which are called Typhoon Lagoon and Blizzard Beach. A brief description of the Disney theme parks is as follows. Magic Kingdom Theme Park: Magic Kingdom was the first theme park at Disney World. It was opened in 1971 and is built with most features of the original Disney land. It is spread over 107 acres and is built like a wheel with spokes. The hub of the park is the world famous Cinderella Castle. It is the place where dreams and fantasies meet reality and favourite Disney characters move all around the place. There are seven different types of themes of the Magic Kingdom. The fireworks and parades at the Magic Kingdom are famous for their splendour and the sense of wonder they invoke. Epcot Theme Park: The Full name of the park is Experimental Prototype Community of Tomorrow. It was built in 1982 the second of the Disney theme parks and is know for its technological innovations and portray of international cultures. Some people also call it the permanent World Fair. The park is designed in a hourglass shape with two sections, one is known as Future World and the other as World showcase. It is build over a area of 300 acres and the time it was build was the largest construction project of the world. Hollywood Studio Theme Park: The third park at the resort it was built in 1989 and its theme is the Hollywood of 1930’s and 1940’s. This is a place where movie magic meets Disney magic and the result is spectacular. It has live shows like American Idol experience and you can participate in its parades and feel like a star. Disney Animal Kingdom: This animal them park was built in 1998 and is based on the vision of Walt Disney. It is the biggest of the theme parks and is spread over more then 500 acres. The highlight of the park is the Tree of Life which is a 14 story sculpted tree and has 325 animals carved in its bark. In 2009 more then 9 million people visited this park. The park has more than 1,700 animals and is divided into seven areas. The four theme parks are the main attraction of the Disney World and all of them are a must see. Visit them to have fun of your life and leave with memories which you will never forget.
