Topsider Homes, with a dominating kind of presence in the prefabricated homes sector, has always been changing with the times. In any industry it's the most dynamic companies that register the most spectacular kind of growth and success. The reasons why Topsider Homes has been registering a really enviable kind of growth and success is that it has always kept itself abreast of changing times and at times even tends to go ahead of the changes. This has been true for the company from its early days. The company began its operations in the prefab homes industry in the late 1960s. It was in 1968 that the first home by the company was put up, on a mountainside near Boone, North Carolina. That was a 'woodsy' kind of structure, much outdated when compared to present trends. But at that time, the kind of home that was put up by the company was something new, something really new. That was the beginning. Since then, the company has been keeping up with changes in as best a manner as possible. In the 1970s and 1980s the company was catering mostly to resort development projects at such places as Walt Disney World, Pinehurst Country Club, Hilton Head Island and many other well-known resort locations worldwide. Then, with the advent of CADD and other new technologies in the 1990s, Topsider Homes decided to go in for a change. The focus shifted, from resort development projects and such things to individual customers. Now, 42 years after it made its beginnings in Boone, the company, based in an extensive campus-style facility in suburban Clemmons, North Carolina, near Winston-Salem, is leading the fray in the prefab homes sector worldwide. It has been the readiness to change and adapt to all kinds of changes that has stood in good stead of the Topsider Homes, the company that is always receptive of the changing tastes and interests of its customers.
