Have you ever tried to level up a character and found that although you're level 60 you're still wearing level 30 items for the most part? If you have, then you'll know that this is a tight spot to find yourself in as it'll be incredibly tough to kill mobs your own level when your gear isn't up to par. Should you not have gear that is at least somewhere around your level range, you'll end up killing mobs more slowly, and be forced to rest more in between kills - which will drastically slow down the speed at which you level. Not to mention, it's also a whole lot more tedious. To avoid this, you need to ensure that you keep your gear as up to date as possible, and there are a few ways in which you can do this with ease. Here's what you need to know in order to get the gear that you need: 1. Do as many quests with gear rewards as possible When you take a quest, look at the rewards it offers and see if there's anything that you can use. If there is, be sure to make completing that quest a priority. This is the easiest way to get guaranteed pieces of equipment around your level (assuming the quests are around your level), and it isn't too hard to pull off! 2. Try to do instances as and when you can Honestly, no matter what level you are the best gear for your level is probably going to come from instances (or raids, later on). As such, you should definitely do as many instances as possible, and be sure to do instance-related quests while you're at it so that you get the most out of the experience. By doing instances, you'll get gold, experience, and great gear - so there really is no downside! 3. Buy gear from the Auction House While gold may be an issue while you're leveling up, it is still a good idea to leaf through the Auction House from time to time and find replacements that are available. Who knows, you might even be able to find a real bargain. Frankly, this is the easiest way to keep your gear up to date, but sadly it does require your finances to be in order before you can pursue it!
