Whether it's the classic tunes of Elvis or the more alternative funk of the Red Hot Chili Peppers, it's the kind of music that just soothes the soul. If a music lover in your life is celebrating a birthday in the near future, transfer this passion into a fantastic rock and roll-themed birthday party that will have everybody who attends screaming for an encore. The logical first step of any shindig is to select invitations. As many people associate the rock and roll lifestyle with an over-the-top persona, the announcements should reflect this perception. Why not send out invites that feature a crowd going wild with the silhouette of a performing rock star on the stage? These will be sure to get recipients excited for your gathering. Anybody who has been to a concert knows that, the stage is often very elaborately decorated to add a glamorous layer to the performance. Of course, decorations for your bash should have your guests thinking they've walked off the street and into a show by The Who. A great start would be to hang a scene setter kit that features the likenesses of rock stars singing one of their hits. A custom music-themed banner or music note cutouts are a good choice as well. A nice final touch would be find out the guest of honor's favorite singer, and arrange a life size cutout of that artist at the event. Whether he or she is a fan of Michael Jackson or the Jonas Brothers, posing for photos with a representation of their idol will surely put a smile on their face. Rock stars are nothing without their instruments, so you should provide your guests with some multi-color inflatable guitars. Pretending to strum along with some of their favorite songs can be just the thing to get them in the mood for music. If you're encouraging air guitar, you will need to play some great tunes for your guests to jam to. Broadcast a mix of Jimi Hendrix or Van Halen and everyone will love it. If partygoers feel so inclined, you should have appropriate rock star accessories, such as extravagant sunglasses or hats for them to wear. For plates, napkins and cups, consider using ones that have rock images on them. Plates with a guitar or drum kit will do the trick. Music one of those universal things that brings people together, and adding it to a terrific celebration of one's birthday can turn an ordinary event into something unforgettable. Hosting a wonderful rock and roll themed birthday party for that special someone is a surefire way to give them a day that they will remember for weeks and months to come.
