When I first got into the internet marketing business, I heard people talking about their Facebook and Twitter pages. I didn\'t pay too much attention at first, but then as I was hearing more and more about these two sites, I decided to do a little research.nnIt didn\'t take me long to find out that both of these sites were enormously popular. I had thought that most of the people using these social networking sites were teens, but I was in for a surprise when I saw how many serious and well-known business people had a Facebook and a Twitter page.nnIt didn\'t make much sense to me, so I decided to talk to some people I know who are part of the social networking system and they reported back to me that they were actually \'doing business\' when they were using these social websites. They said that visits to their personal websites were up dramatically and their sales were also.nnSome of them had even taken a course or two on how to best utilize these social networking sites. They took it seriously, and each day they set time aside to do some postings and to interact with others. nnOne of the mistakes that newbies make initially is to add as many \'friends\' to their site in as fast a time as possible. You should build up your \'friends\' deliberately and the first 100-200 are the most impactful. You need to make these high level people in your industry. Look for interest groups and reach out to them.nnTo use this as a business tool, it is suggested that you add new content on a daily basis. This takes very little time and most people only set aside 10 minutes or so to do a few postings. Of course, those who are going on the sites strictly for the social aspect obviously spend a lot more time there. Try to add relevant content, as that\'s what the search engines are looking for. nnFacebook is the 5th largest visited website in the World and it is growing at an immense pace daily. If you want to be part of this new way of expanding your business via Web 2.0, which is social network marketing, then go right now and sign up for an account with Facebook and Twitter and start social networking. It\'s free, it\'s not time consuming at all and it will definitely help grow your business exponentially.nnI now have my own Facebook and Twitter accounts and I invite you to sign up also.
