Type Of Transportation To And From San Francisco Airport

By: brayan.peter Home | Travel-and-Leisure

There are three airport options for San Francisco. San Francisco International Airport is the city’s main airport. Oakland international Airport is located in East Bay. The Mineta San Jose International airport is an hour south of the city. There are various ways of transporting from and to San Francisco airport like bus, taxi, limousine, shared van or rental car. Bus service is one of the best ways to and from San Francisco airport. But it may be difficult to travel in bus, because you have to wait until the bus does not arrive and when it arrives you have to carry your luggage in the bus and then get down at the stop with your luggage that is near to your hotel or house. This is a very tedious work.

Taxi service is available from San Francisco airport. It is available 24 hours a day and provides service to all parts of San Francisco. All fares will be charged based on the occupancy of one to four passengers per taxi. Station wagons, accessible taxis for persons with disabilities, and credit card taxis are available upon request at San Francisco airport. You can take a taxi from the San Francisco airport to many locations in the city for $40 to $50. Taxis are located outside each Terminal. Rental car counters are located on the fourth floor of the San Francisco airport rental car center, which can be accessed via the terminal’s Air Train, on the Blue line. Air Train, SFO’s fully automated people mover system, operates 24 hours a day and provides convenient and frequent service throughout the airport. Air Train stations are located in all terminals, parking garages, the rental car center and the Airport’s BART station. Shared Van shuttle service is also provided in San Francisco airport. In shared ride you pay somewhere $25 (one way fare per person) or $ 47 round trip per person where you get various facilities like WI-FI High speed internet, baby car seat service, first class seating, and direct non-stop personal service. Van shuttle service is available every 30 minutes.

Limo service is also available at San Francisco airport. Limo service is very expensive which cannot be afforded by everyone. Only rich class can afford it. In San Francisco you can visit Muir woods or wine country. These are some of the good places to visit. People who visit San Francisco do not forget to visit wine country. This is one of the best places to visit and you get some of the best wines in the country.
