Ultimate Convenience From A Fingerprint Lock

By: Simon Donovan-12305 Home | Reference-and-Education | Science

When I first got my new laptop with one of those biometric fingerprint readers I thought, this is great, I don't need to type in my password. My mind started wandering and I thought to myself, I need one of these for my front door! Being a father, most of the time when I'm coming through the front door I have my baby boy in one hand and a bunch of shopping bags in the other. It's a nightmare trying to fish the keys out of my pocket and open the door.

How futuristic and hassle free it would be to have a fingerprint lock installed and enjoy keyless entry to my home. I could simply touch my finger (or my baby boy's finger) to the lock and the handle opens! But then I dismissed the idea thinking that it would probably cost thousands and would be impractical for home use.

But as it turns out, I was wrong. A friend of mine told me about these fingerprint locks that you can buy for your home. Not only is the price really reasonable but it is so simple to get one installed. I have checked out the range of fingerprint locks and they have some great features. You can use a pincode as a backup option if you want to allow family or friends access. You can also open the lock with a key as per usual so that gives added peace of mind.

Imagine how cool it would be to have the latest security technology in your front door. Fumbling for keys is now a thing of the past. With the touch of a finger you're in! The great thing about these fingerprint locks is that you can also assign a pincode for different family members or friends. You can give temporary access to someone by creating a new code for them or by storing their fingerprint. You can store up to 150 fingerprints but you probably wouldn't need to give that many people access to your home. And as a last resort you can still open the door with a good old fashioned key so there's a manual option to fall back on.

There are a lot of inferior products out there on the internet, but the great thing is that with the professional retailers you can deal with a master locksmith with industry experience in home security. You don't want to trust the security of your home to anyone, so it's good to know that you can purchase from companies that have a master security licence. Fingerprint locks can be retro-fitted to your existing lock so they are really easy to install. You can be up and running in around 10 minutes.

Technology is growing so rapidly which means that things you would expect to see only in movies are now becoming a reality in many homes. There is no longer any good reason for keys to be a frustrating part of your every-day life. It is simple and cost effective to get a fingerprint lock for your front door today!
