Exchanging information is the main purpose for these. But you can promote your business and product in such a way that your readers will see it more as an announcement than an advertisement. Many of these social forums are free to join so the price is definitely right for start up businesses with low budgets. There are also social network sites that offer classified advertising space within the site. They may have a minimal monthly rate but can be well worth it. Finally, you can also utilize a blog for advertisement purposes along with providing niche information. By adding interesting content that includes backlinks to your website you can increase your database and potential customers.
