Around two cars out of every three sold are the used cars. It is useful especially for those who cannot afford buying a new car like teenagers, lower middle class people. Also, many used to buy used cars to learn car driving. Even the cost of insurance of new car is much higher than that of a new car. These all factors have increased the demand of used cars. Even the supply of used cars has also increased seeing the demand of used cars. Purchasing used car has certain disadvantages. One major disadvantage is that most maintenance-free duration of cars’ life is first two years. There are cases of serious and hidden defects or problems with no or limited warranty. It is difficult to determine that the car has been properly maintained by previous owner. It is not sure that used car has all desirable technical or safety features required as it is there in new car. The choice of equipment, colors, and models is limited in case of used cars. There are also few advantages of purchasing used car. Buyers can afford better options & luxury cars when they buy used car, else the same model of new car may become unaffordable for buyer. The prices of used cars are affordable than new cars. Moreover, the used cars give the choice to teenagers and lower middle class people to fulfill the dream of a car. Used cars, hence is a good and viable option for the car seekers. Through it, the dream of getting car can be fulfilled.
