Usefulness Of The Alcohol Test Kit

By: Thomas MacIntosh Home | Arts-and-Entertainment | Humanities

Using the alcohol test kit is quite a simple yet reasonably accurate way of testing alcohol levels from your saliva. This kit is devised in such a manner that it is easy to operate and provides quantitative results which compare with the accuracy of blood tests. The self contained simple alcohol testing kit can serve anywhere and at any time. It can be used even in the privacy of your home or work environment as per your convenience.

These alcohol test kits developed especially for ease of use and enable testing of ethyl alcohol as found in alcoholic beverages like beer, wine and liquor in saliva. If the simple procedure of testing set is followed correctly then very accurate results can be obtained. The kit is being used successfully at home, in the workplace, in case of emergency in the hospital and even in criminal justice.

In order to undertake the test properly most of the alcohol test kit providers ask you not to eat, smoke or drink for at least 10 minutes prior to the test. Then you need to take out the contents of the kit and swab around the inside of the mouth to collect saliva. The padded cotton test strip is to be swabbed in the mouth for some time (half a minute or a little more suffices). The saliva collector is to be now used for testing. After two minutes the color change indication is observed. A very dark color indicates presence of the highest amounts of alcohol while lighter shades show lower alcohol presence. Even if unfavorable results are produced you need not despair. You can consider yourself fortunate that you have been forewarned and proceed to take steps accordingly to reduce alcohol consumption.

The kit as developed in recent times is of immense benefit for all. It is a quick way of determining the alcohol level present in the saliva. Drinkers of alcohol and alcoholic beverages can now easily get to know the degree of risk they are lying in owing to consumption of alcohol. If you have concern about drug and alcohol use or abuse then you can purchase and try out the test kit being offered. You will be warned about any impending danger to your health from excessive alcohol intake. This is a quick and accurate indicator, so why not give it a try? You will be benefited, one can bet.
