Vaccination - Safe Or Dangerous?

By: Patrick Hamouy Home | Health-and-Fitness

It is widely thought in the medical profession that infections and many diseases are mainly / partly caused by viruses or bacteria.

In a healthy body, these bacteria are identified by our immune system that will proceed to manufacture antibodies to render them harmless. Should our immune system be deficient in any way because of bad eating habits, negative emotions / stress or a toxic environment, then these bacteria will either not be picked up by our immune cells or an insufficient amount of antibodies will be generated and disease will develop.

Should the immune system be strong, then we will generate a sufficient amount of antibodies and after suffering some symptoms, we should regain health.

For example, fever and red blotches could indicate that we have contacted measles. Once our body has identified the disease and generated a sufficient amount of antibodies, we recover.

Furthermore, our body will keep a copy of the virus and should it be exposed to the same virus again, it will quickly respond by manufacturing the required antibodies and the disease will not get a chance to manifest. Clever isn't it?

This is called acquired immunity

Artificial immunity

A vaccine is a preparation of viral or bacterial particles that will mimic the viruses or bacteria responsible for a disease. It is chemically prepared in a much reduced potency in order to (supposedly) be safe to inject in the body. The theory is that once present in the body, the vaccine will provide artificial immunity and not have the harmful effect of the disease itself. Good in theory wouldn't you agree?

According to pharmaceutical companies vaccination is:

* The main reason for the decline of infectious conditions

* The only effective method of eliminating dangerous infectious conditions

* Harmless when compared to the disease itself

Two snags though:

If the preparation is not diluted enough (or sufficiently modified), it may generate the disease it is supposed to prevent in a potentially more virulent form.

If the preparation is too diluted or altered too much, then the disease may not be recognised and the vaccination process will have been a complete (and potentially dangerous) waste of time.

The germ theory accepted by the medical profession is that of Louis Pasteur. Whereby a disease is introduced into a body externally.

Antoine Deschamp who inspired Louis Pasteur into this theory however demonstrated that viruses and bacteria were already present in normal cells although the body was not suffering from any disease.

This has been picked up by many Alternative thinkers who believe, as I do, that the body must first get itself into a weak state (immune deficient) for any disease to be able to develop.

Let me give you an example:

Imagine you are in a lift with 10 other people. One of them has a very bad dose of flu and is sneezing happily. The flu virus will spread around the enclosed lift. Will all 10 people catch the flu?

Of course not. Maybe 2 or 3 will catch it because their immune system is low. Possibly another couple may have minor symptoms and the rest will have no symptoms whatsoever.

What is the difference between them? Is it because some have been immunised and others not? Of course not. The difference is the strength of their immune system.

Have vaccinations helped curb disease?

Governments, pushed by pharmaceutical companies, are keen to publish statistics that show how effective vaccination has been. For example, they proudly show the eradication of tuberculosis (now coming back strongly), smallpox, typhus and typhoid between 1950 and the late 1960s. Death from these in 1950 were 1,000 per million of population. What they forget to show us in what was happening BEFORE the introduction of vaccination.

Between the years 1860 and 1950 cases of the above disease had dropped from 6,000 per million of population to just under 1,000 per million and were well on their way out. A drop of nearly 85% achieved without any vaccination. This was due to the progress made in sanitation, hygiene etc.. (statistics from a report presented at the "Presidential address of the British Association for the advancement of sciences" By Porter in 1971).

Does vaccination work?

To this day, a vaccine is considered successful if the body generates antibodies as a result of the vaccination.

But is it effective?

The Salk Polio vaccine was introduced in 1955. Despite this, the American government claimed that the 61% decrease in polio cases in 1954 was due to the vaccine!!! (ref: Dr Bernard Greenberg, Head of the Department of Biostatistics of the University of North Carolina). Dr Greenberg also stated that there was an increase of 50% in 1957-8 and 80% in 1958-9 AFTER the introduction of the mass immunisation program. Not too impressive would you say.

The very controversial triple vaccine against Measles, Mumps and Rubella (MMR)has been available since 1975. The What Doctors Don't Tell You publication however states that between 1983 and 1990, there has been a 423% increase in the number of Measles cases. Furthermore, the American government reported that 80% of the new cases of Measles had been from vaccinated people! (statistics from the Centre for Disease Control Morbidity and Mortality Weekly Report from 6 June 1986). On 26 March 1987, the New England Journal of Medicine reported that in 1986 in Corpus Chisti, Texas, there was an epidemic of Measles and that 99% of the children affected had been vaccinated against Measles!!! Do we call this effective or what?

Children who have been vaccinated with MMR can still develop the disease, but in a much stronger form that can include liver abnormalities, pneumonia and arthritis (W James quoted in "Mass Immunisation" by Trevor Gunn).

Can a vaccine cause harm?

A vaccine is injected directly into the bloodstream. Our natural system of defence such as the skin and liver are bypassed by this process. Paralysis, brain damage and Autism have been linked to vaccinations. Doctors who inject vaccines are aware that on occasion, a person will collapse and may die or develop serious respiratory problems. They are train to cope with this eventuality.

Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS) was shown by Dr William Torch of the Nevada school of medicine to be directly related to the vaccination of children when two third of the children who died from SIDS had been injected with D.T.P. (Diphteria, Pertussin and Tetanus).

A.I.D.S. (Acquired Immune Deficiency Syndrome), is interestingly more prominent in the seven African states that have been most vaccinated for smallpox! Is this a coincidence?

In the UK, doctors are given bonuses when they achieve the highest percentage of vaccinations. This financial incentive ensures that vaccination is not going to be challenged by many.
