Various Kinds Of Baking Recipes

By: Clint Jhonson Home | Food-and-Drink

Summer is the ideal time for baking recipes. You might think that the warm weather would be a good time to spend outdoors rather than bake in your kitchen in the heat the oven lets out. But the snacks and pastries that you yourself create will naturally cook you off. You might even have some family recipes of which you can make good use at this time.

When you think of baking in the summer, fruit becomes your focus. There is a wide variety of fruits available at this time and you get mangoes, strawberries and different kinds of melons in abundance. You can use berries with homemade cream into your baking recipes like summer desserts. You can make pastries and muffins your grandma made for you using the family recipes. Then you can also bake a variety of fruity cakes.

The juicy and sweet flavors of fruit are very refreshing and make your baking recipes even tastier. Making jams like mango jam or mixed fruit jam is also a popular summer activity. You can get the whole family involved in this kind of family recipes. You might even choose to bake your own bread to have with the jam and bake it on an open fire out of doors as a culinary adventure.

Pies are other baking recipes that you can try. Check again in your book of family recipes whether you have any handed down from the previous generations. And if making a pie is not quite your thing then try to use a pie crust, pizza dough or cookie dough to make a fruit pizza. Use yogurt or some food you can spread as a sauce and put the fruit over the dough to create a baked delight.

Baking recipes like pastries and muffins are also enjoyable family recipes for the summer. Putting your favorite fruits into your muffin dough can make a great breakfast during summer. You can use strawberries, bananas, raisins or peaches. Blueberries, pineapple and kiwi also make for enjoyable muffins.

Cakes are another kind of baking recipes that you can use. When the temperature goes up, pineapple upside down cake, strawberry shortcake and banana cake are all too popular. You can also try family recipes like baked cheesecakes filled with fruit. Serving ice cream along with your cakes is a good way of keeping everybody cool in the summer heat. You can also make cakes in glamorous shapes like fruits to match their flavor or in the shape of butterflies or flowers.

When you tire of using the family recipes you can use your own baking recipes to make scones. Use the jam that you made to go with t hem. You can also try making fondue by melting peanut butter and chocolate to which jam is added; this can be a great dip. Bake some dough and put in some fresh fruit and fondue to get a scrumptious dessert.
