You should not place any hot pot directly on these surfaces as they might crack at times. In both the cases you have too many choices for your house. Natural stones too came in different colors and patterns and will look better in some cases than the man made products. With the usage of such beautiful stones, man made or natural, the worth of the house certainly goes upwards. Just you have to select the best product for the house. Since they will last for a longer period you don't have to tense much on the look of the flooring and other parts of house provided you take care of them in regular interval.
