Various Types Of Coffee You Can Offer Your Customers

By: Karyn Lewis Home | Business

The type of coffee to serve in your business depends on what you want your coffee shop to represent. Some owners want to keep it very simple and only offer premium of the basic regular and decaffeinated forms. Others want to offer a full range of premium options to choose from. Knowing what your options are can help you decide what is best for your business.

These days, many people also enjoy the ability to choose from organic blends of coffee. They are often a light roast type of coffee that doesn't result in a person getting jittery after they drink it. They also want to help promote a safer environment and this is just another way they do so. This type of coffee offers a very good taste so they don't have to sacrifice their morning drink in order to feel their best all day long.

Some types of coffee are light in color while others look almost black. This color is going to affect how strong the taste of the coffee is. Some people like their coffee very weak so they need a lighter on. Others want the dark looking espresso that will really give you a jolt of caffeine to start the day. Mocha java is another one that is dark but it also have a very wonderful taste to it.

For those that are right on the fence when it comes to either a light or a dark flavor of coffee, Vienna may be just what the doctor ordered. This type of coffee only has a small amount of oil in the beans. This means it will have a very smooth flavor that also smells wonderful.

It is wise to offer various types of coffee to your customers. Don't take the approach that it is too complicated. Customers will want to have a good selection of items to choose from. They may be willing to try out some new things too instead of just drinking the same old coffee drink that they always have.

It can be hard though to decide exactly what you do want to offer them. Try to go to various resources to test out coffee drinks. Look for a supplier that will work well with you in this department. You want to know every single type of coffee that you offer your customers is the very best it can possibly be.

Many owners of coffee shops find it helps to pay attention to their customers too. If they aren't happy with a particular type of coffee then stop offering it. You don't want to have a supply of it on hand for a very long time. Try to promote it with a feature or a sale but if you don't get regular requests for it then move on to something else. Try to add what they want that you don't have as well.

Pay attention to the prices on various types of coffees too. You will need to set your cost for sales accordingly. Customers are willing to pay premium price though for premium types of coffee though. The problem comes in when you start offering lower quality coffee at the same high processes. Don't let this be something that leads to the downfall of your coffee shop.
