VoIP is a technology that spells out as Voice over Internet Protocol and as the name would tend to suggest it also originated around the same time that the internet itself did which is around 1995. All you need for a video VoIP call is any video supporting VoIP hookup and a webcam. Some VoIP providers also sell these days dedicated video VoIP phone sets. As time went another thing become possible with VoIP cheap, instantaneous multiparty conference and video conference calls. The days of paying astronomical amounts of money for global video conferencing become a thing of the past, again thanks to VoIP.
