Chances are, you never dreamed or imagined that one day you would end up in a bad relationship. No one wants to end up in a relationship that causes them pain or hurt. No one looks up at the stars and hopes that they end up with the wrong person. But, it happens. Sometimes, it seems like it cannot be avoided. Sometimes, the person that you are with starts off acting just the way that they should, only to end up seeming like a completely different person. Walking away from a bad relationship takes guts, and not everyone has the strength to give themselves the push that they need to do this. You don't want to stay in a bad relationship forever. You don't want the years to pass and find that you have wasted time, energy, and passion all on something that was doomed from the beginning. Still, if you are going to be able to have a good life and end up with a situation that you want to be in, you have to make that decision to walk if you are stuck in a bad situation right at the moment. Dating is tough on both men and women. Desperation to be with someone is pretty common place and at times, that desperation, that yearning to be with someone can make us stay when we should leave. Now, there is no question if the relationship is abusive in any way that you should walk away and never even think twice about that decision. Whether it is physical abuse or mental/emotional abuse, these are situations that should be no brainers. You should get up and go as soon as you can and don't even think of looking back. But if the situation is not as drastic, it can be hard to make the decision to walk away, especially if there are still lingering feelings of love and affection there. You really just have to weigh things out and determine if your life would be better if you were to stay or better if you were to go. If the thought of being able to leave and walk away from a bad relationship makes you happy and makes you feel excited, well, then you probably have your answer right there. The reason why most people choose to stay in a bad situation is because it is all that they know. They kind of fear the possibility of being alone and not being able to find someone else. That fear can end up being a drain on you, and you really don't need that. You don't want to sacrifice the possibility of finding the right person for you, just because it is more comfortable to stay in a familiar situation, do you? It takes strength and courage to walk away from a bad relationship, but when you do it and you get past that initial stage of worry and doubt and fear... your life can become exactly what you want it to be. And really, the only chance that you have of ending up with the right person in your life is to walk away and be free of a bad situation.
