Or does it mean you teach a Sunday school class? Could it mean that you purchase and wear radical Christian clothing? Yes, it could. Just as Jesus said in the Sermon on the Mount, there are ways we are to separate ourselves as Christians from the secular world. One way we can do this is physically putting on our Armor of God to help you live it everyday, to help you put your light on a stand. Just like the light we are supposed to shine, we are called to evangelize, to get the message of the Good News out to others. By wearing Christian t-shirts and putting on your â€Armor of God†as described in the sixth chapter of Ephesians (â€Therefore, put on every piece of God’s armor so that you will be able to resist the enemy in the time of evil.†Ephesians 6:13), there are ways we, too, can do as Jesus did. â€Whatever the Father does, the Son also does†John 5:19. As we are God’s children, we are called to follow in His likeness. In this same vein, people knew Jesus was the Messiah. The Samaritain woman, Zacheus and all of his followers knew Jesus was the Messiah by his actions. Your unique ways you live your godly life everyday is a way you can be like Christ. This apparel can only help further this light and help you express your love and passion for the Lord. Taking up your Armor of God is one way you can shine your light to the world. Just like the relationship we have with God, we have to work at protecting ourselves from the secular world. There are ways in which this Armor of God can be taken up. As it is stated in Ephesians, you can take up your shield of faith, belt of truth, body armor of God’s righteousness, shoes of peace that comes from the Good News, helmet of salvation and sword of the Word of God (Ephesians 6:13-17). Edgy apparel can help radical Christians wanting to show their passion and love for Christ and differentiate themselves from the secular world. Jesus said in his Sermon on the Mount, â€You are the light of the worldâ€"like a city on a mountain, glowing in the night for all to see. Don’t hide your light under a basket! Instead, put it on a stand and let it shine for all†(Matthew 6:14-15). Your light can shine even more brightly through edgy Christian apparel.
