The American TV series The Good Wife premiered on CBS with its first season on 22nd September 2009. Initially the show was slated for 13 episodes but they got extended to 23 on popular demand and on January 14th, 2010 CBS renewed The Good Wife TV Show for a second season. The TV series was created by Robert King and Michael King and stars Julianna Margulies, Christine Baranski, Archie Panjabi and Josh Charles in the main roles. The story of show focuses on Alicia Florrick (Juliana Margulies) and her husband Peter Florrick (Chris North), who was involved, is a sex and corruption scandal. Alicia tries to rebuild her career as a lawyer and her reputation for the sake of her two children. The series was inspired by some very prominent political sex and corruption scandals which broke out in recent years. (As a matter of fact, quite of number of men who were involved in some scandals, had wives who were lawyers.) The focus of the story is on Alicia’s calling as a lawyer and her struggles with her husband. As you watch The Good Wife, it grows on you like all good series do and you ponder on the central question of the showâ€"â€how far can someone bend their core beliefs and still retain their integrityâ€. The first season of The Good Wife Episodes received favorable reviews from critics and has already been nominated for and won Emmy and Golden Globe Awards for best performance for supporting actress by Julianna Margulies. Now in its second season, show has gathered a following among politically connected people because of its take on the current events, liberally interspersed with sex, jealousy and romance.
