I love a good baseball game during the regular season and like to catch a game on TV when I can. Don’t get me wrong... I won’t spend an entire weekend watching baseball games, but if there’s nothing else going on and there’s a good game on TV, I’ll slip into some comfy clothes and settle onto the couch and watch the game. For as long as I can remember, I have watched the world series on TV. My family and I would stay up really late watching every last minute of the games and then we’d have to wrestle ourselves out of bed the next morning to keep from being late for school or work because we were so tired. But we didn’t miss a single second of the World Series games! This almost came to a screeching halt a couple of years ago, though, when the place where I work suddenly changed my hours to the evening shift. Just as the playoffs were in full swing, I was told I’d have to work in the evenings to cover for someone who was going to be out for medical reasons. I was OK with that until I realized it would mean not being able to watch the World Series. Once I figured this out, I was devastated! I racked my brain trying to figure out how I might be able to watch the World Series online, while I was at work. After spending some time researching it, I finally found the answer to my problem. I found a piece of software that I could install on my computer that allowed me to scan through over 3,000 channels. I took a few minutes to go through some of the channels and, lo and behold, I could watch the world series online, right at work! Now don’t get me wrong. I didn’t install the software on my work computer. But I did install it on my laptop and take that to work with me. Even though I didn’t get to watch every single second of the games, it did allow me to keep up on what was going on. My job allowed me some time to check in to stay updated on the score and the highlights of each inning. It was a real life saver for me. So if you’re in the same predicament, and don’t want to miss out on the games, do what I did and watch the world series online!
