Before you even call the first document drying service, you must consider the materials that were water damaged, how much water was involved, the age of the items to be restored and your own personal budget. While you want to save your books and other documents, you cannot do it at the expense of other projects that need to be done at this time. Most documents can be researched and replaced. Books, unless they were first editions or other special items, can be replaced as well.
