Web site design is actually the designing of a page for introducing a collection of information about certain topics or subjects. Web site design is the creation and proper arrangement of the web pages that are there in a particular website. Each of the websites deals with a specific topic or subject. The professionals make the web site design so that the information inside the web pages is easily accessible to the website visitors.

Various aspects of web site design are there today in internet world. However, the aspects are changing day by day and are changing for the better.

There are mainly two types of websites †the commercial and the non-commercial websites. The basic aspects of the non-commercial websites are almost the same and the aspects emerge because of the variation in objectives. The goals vary according to the response and the desired exposures. Whereas, in the case of a commercial website, there are certain aspects that may be counted as following:

â€The content: Content is the mot essential aspect of the web site design. Every site has a characteristic of its own and the content of the web pages vary according to the basic character of the website. The websites through their contents try to attract its target audience.
â€The usability: If a site consists of user-friendly interface and navigations, then it is capable of attracting more number of audiences towards it and that makes it more popular.
â€The appearance: The overall look of the website should be such that it is easy on the eyes of the users and are attractive to the readers. The text and the graphics of a certain websites are similar and the type of the characters is uniform throughout the web pages. At the time of web site design, the designer must keep in mind that the style of the whole website is similar and has a professionally appealing and relevant layout.
â€The visibility: There are certain patterns of viewing that the readers are used to. Therefore, before designing a website, the designer must keep in mind that the web pages have an easy readability statistics and are easy to the eye for a comfortable viewing.

There are also certain strategies for organizing a website for non-tangible products. It is the job of the website designer to organize informational services and websites while creating a new web site design. He should be also aware about the division of the content when the website is not selling tangible products.

There are certain web sites that provide services and information and are not concerned with the selling of the products in any form. In such a case, the web site design is created such that it uses the same principles of designing a website but keep in mind that in the case of a website containing services and information rather than products. In such a case, the designer has to use the text links instead of thumbnail images.
