If you carry your credit card balance forward every month, a zero interest rate to low interest rate credit card may be what you need. Unfortunately, not everyone who applies for one of these low interest rate credit cards will qualify for one. This is due to the fact that you must have a good to excellent credit rating to obtain one of these handy credit cards. Most potential cardholders do not have the right credit scores to qualify for these special credit cards. If you are interested in applying for one of these zero to low interest rate credit cards, you will be able to find sufficient information online.

If you have noticed, these credit cards are being advertised quite aggressively at this time, so there should be no problem in locating one while you are surfing the internet, here are some 0 interest rate card that you can get approved for with average or low credit rating if you are a student.

By browsing around some different credit card sites, you will find that the average interest rate for a low interest credit card is nine percent. For those individuals with exceptional credit, they may be offered an interest rate of around five-point-five percent. If your credit score is not that great yet, you may be able to negotiate with certain credit card companies to bring the interest rate down to something that you can deal with.

If you have a steady income, the credit card company will more than likely agree to lower your interest rates. For instance, they may require an annual fee of fifty dollars or more to make up for their loss on the low interest rates. With this annual fee, the interest rates that are offered to you are in a way not as low as they seem. If you can acquire one of these low interest rate credit cards without an annual fee, you will be doing well. Sometimes, these credit card companies will waive the fee upon your request.

Most low interest rate credit cards that offer a zero percent interest rate are only for a set period of time. A zero percent interest rate is usually only an introductory rate and it will increase after the introductory period is over with. There are certain cards that will have a dramatic increase from their introductory zero percent interest rate. They may increase their interest rates to fifteen percent or more. You must be careful and make sure you read the fine print and understand your contract when agreeing to accept a card with a zero percent interest rate.
