Operations Of Various Air Cooler Parts Water is constantly supplied to moisten the pads inside a cooler. The excess water collects in a sump below the pads. The recirculating water pump is used to send back this water to the pads for constantly keeping it wet. The float valve controls the level of water in the sump that is accumulated at the bottom of the air cooler. When the level falls below normal, they add water to keep the level constant. A powerful fan is used to draw air from outside into the air cooler through the wet pads. This process of making the air pass through water molecules cools the air temperature. The fan then acts as a blower and blows out the cooled air into the room where it is placed.
