Given the the findings over the past decade about the contaminants in drinking water - many people have been forced to ask "what is the best home water filtration?

People realize that the municipal water supply is not as clean as it could be and that additional steps need to be taken to eliminate the contaminants in your tap water

Before this question can be answered though it is important to realize that there are varying water purification methods each with varying degrees of contaminant removal capabilities.

Therefore it is wise to have your tap water tested. The purpose of this is to find out the most troublesome contaminants that plague your water supply.

When you know what is in your water supply you can get a water purifier that is best able to tackle to remove that class of contaminants.

Believe it or not - some people don't want to go through having their tap water tested. They just want to have the sediment and chlorine removed from drinking water to give it a more aesthetically pleasing appearance. Money Matters

Find out what is the best home water filtration system is one thing - being able to afford it is another. Generally speaking whole house filtration devices will cost more than point of use devices.

Also knowing how much water a filtering device cost to operate is of importance.

What To Do Now

Do some research on the areas outlined here. Know the pros and cons of the various methods of water purification and the cost. Don't take the decision to buy a purifier lightly by just buying the first device you see.
