The name of Chanel, and its logo of an overlapping double-C, one facing forwards the other facing backwards, is recognizable worldwide. The name has become synonymous with quality and style. They say that 'imitation is the sincerest form of flattery' and, if that is true, then Chanel is one of the most admired brands around the globe. Unfortunately, this means that the brand has been subject to numerous, cheaper and lower quality, fakes. Her twin sets with cardigans and jersey tops are still classic items for any wardrobe. Her style is truly timeless. Coco herself had a huge influence on the fashions of her time because she wore 'manly' styles. These included trousers and comfortable tops. These still had a feminine edge to them but were far less fussy than the womens' dresses of the time. She liberated women and enabled them to wear clothes that they felt truly comfortable wearing, without losing any of their elegance. It is no coincidence that many of the world's top models and actresses have been associated with the Chanel name. Nicole Kidman being one of the most recent to have signed up to advertise the Chanel Number 5 perfume which still remains one of the bestselling scents globally. This all adds to the glamor and desire of the name, Chanel. Women around the world aspire to own a Chanel suit or carry a handbag bearing the ever-recognizable double-C logo. Millions of people across the globe view Chanel fashion products, accessories, and clothes to be the epitome of desirability. That's no accident, either! After all, it's taken the Chanel brand 100 years to get where it is today!
