The only thing that you really have to have in order to start building your website is a computer with internet access. Beyond that depending on how you are going out about doing your website, if you are paying someone else to the website for you all you need is a computer with internet access so you can communicate with the web designer via email, and possibly via telephone depending on where the person is from. If you are planning on going this route, then make sure that you are in constant communication with your web designer because if you are not they may start to assume the things that will be on the site because you may not have told the designer the details of what you wanted and how you wanted it done. Now, you can always go onto one of the numerous sites that allow you to design your website through them for free. Some of those promotions that say things are free are lies like you would already believe they were from the word free, but some of those sites actually do have the things you need for free. They have all sorts of templates to choose from, along with whatever color you think would work best. They have many options because for the most part the company that you are having help you do the development of your site has many resources. With many resources comes that ability to not have to charge people for their services. So the only thing needed for this is the computer with internet access. The last method you can do is the do it yourself. In this method there are a few things you need, first like the others you will need the computer with internet access. Then depending the kind of website you are developing you may need Photoshop. Photoshop is a program that allows you to create a web page by making your images, background, text, headers, navigation bars, etc. Photoshop is primarily used to make the websites using HTML. Unlike the other types of websites that primarily use Dreamweaver, which is along the same lines as Photoshop.
