Tips For Getting A Better Night's Sleep

Move away from the computer screen for a while before heading to bed.

Dim the lights to unwind and prepare for sleep.

Choose a small bedtime snack balanced with protein, carbohydrate and fat.

Avoid alcohol if you'd like to decrease the volume of your snoring! It relaxes the muscles in the back of your throat.

If you are a smoker, think about quitting. Daytime sleepiness is 60% more likely in smokers than nonsmokers.

Try listing the states in your country to take your mind off thoughts that are keeping you awake.

If you wake up in the middle of the night and can not go back to sleep, get out of bed to another room and listen to music or read until you feel sleepy again.

Exercise sometime during the day (but not too close to bedtime) to help you sleep better.

Create a bedroom that is calming in color and uncluttered.

Take time to go over your schedule for the next day and write yourself notes of what you want to accomplish so you don't worry about forgetting important items.

Getting adequate sleep is one of the most important things you can do for yourself!

We need 7 - 9 hours of sleep each night for optimum performance, health, and safety. When we don't give ourselves enough sleep, we accumulate a sleep debt that can catch up to us.

That time invested in sleep pays huge rewards in so many ways!
