All around the internet, the most popular Bluetooth headsets still remain the Jawbone and the Jawbone II. A lot of stores including BargainBluetooth.com offer both headsets at low prices. I'm here to help decided which one you should get. The original Jawbone, designed by Yves Behar, broke out of its display style casing to announce to the world that it was separating itself from the ordinary Bluetooth headsets available at the time. With its beautiful gun metal design and sleek, rectangular shape, it's no wonder it became a top seller almost instantly. But with the Jawbone, just like the old clich, it's not what is on the outside; it's what on the inside that counts. And what's on the inside is pure genius, three microphones, an unprecedented feat for Bluetooth devices at that time. Three microphones enabling crystal clear sound for the person on the other side of the call. No more echoing sound you get from other Bluetooth headset; just clear sound. No longer do you get the infamous question when you get on the phone through your Bluetooth, do you have me on speaker? But if 3 microphones aren't enough, add in a military-grade noise shield that blocks out any unwanted background noise, and you've got a near-perfect Bluetooth, except for the fact that it's a bit bulkier than its competition, a feature that would be fixed in the sequel. The Jawbone 2 is slimmed down, .35 ounces, and much smaller then the original Jawbone. Also designed by Yves Behar, the Jawbone 2 carries along all the traits of its predecessor, great quality sound, 3 microphones, a military-grade, upgraded "noise-assassin" background noise defense system, and elegant, upper-class design. Its only flaw comes from the fact that there is no volume rocker and its sound quality is not up to par with the original Jawbone. So as far as which to purchase, it depends on preferences. If you're looking for a near perfect sound quality on both ends of the line, and you do not worry much about having an averaged to above average sized Bluetooth on your ear, choose the Jawbone, which retails around $32.99. However, if a small sized and ultra sleek Bluetooth with sound quality a little below the quality of the original Jawbone, choose the Jawbone 2, which retails around $68.00 but can be found around $50.00 at BargainBluetooth.com.
