Why Use A Laundry Service

By: Prasad Josh Home | Business

Most of us have washing machines at home, so why would we use a laundry service? Well, let's face it, doing the laundry is rarely anyone's favourite chore. It's a thankless continual cycle. No sooner have you emptied the laundry basket than it fills up again. Finish the last piece of ironing, fold it and put it away and another load seems to take its place as if by magic. Keeping on top of the laundry becomes a challenge that eats away at evening leisure time and can consume half the weekend, if you let it.

As a busy professional, the last thing you want to come home to is an overflowing laundry basket and no clean shirt for tomorrow. As a mother with young children, keeping up with the constant stream of dirty laundry can be the last straw and the ironing pile quickly becomes an intimidating Everest, impossible ever to scale.

Business and personal coaches are always telling us to leverage our time by outsourcing tasks that others can do for us and concentrating on the ones that only we can do. Outsourcing our washing to a laundry service is one of the obvious choices to make when we need to create more time for the important things in life. If you want to free up more time to work on a fascinating new project, train for a marathon or spend more time with your kids, then crossing the laundry off your to-do list can give you several extra hours of valuable time every week.

The laundry is a task that anyone can do for us and as the laundry service staff are professionals they very likely do a better job than us, especially with the ironing. All you have to do is drop off a bundle of dirty washing and return to collect it a few days later, clean, ironed and beautifully folded. It makes sense to drop off the next load as you collect the clean one, so you have a constant supply of clean ironed shirts for work, fresh jeans for the weekend, kids' school uniform for the next week and so on.

If you can find a laundry service that is on your route to and from work or close by your kids' school then it is a matter of a couple of minutes to drop off and pick up with no special journey needed. Compare that with the time you usually spend loading and unloading the machine, hanging clothes on the line, taking them in, ironing them, folding them, over several loads a week and imagine what you could achieve in that time instead.

Perhaps you find doing your own laundry relaxing, a zen experience, in which case a laundry service might be something that you wouldn't consider on a regular basis. Even so it could provide invaluable back-up for those times when life gets hectic and busy weekends merge into weeks filled with meetings and late-night work. Knowing that you could just drop off a bundle of shirts for the specialist 48 hour shirt laundry service, or even offload the whole week's family laundry, gives you peace of mind amid the chaos.

Whether you rely on a laundry service as an essential part of a busy lifestyle or turn to one just when life gets hectic, it is a very efficient way of leveraging your time and reducing the stress of daily life, and your shirts will be ironed more beautifully than they ever have been before!
