The world as we know it today has been changing so dramatically, that many of us have a hard time keeping up. There are many things that we do in our own lives to accommodate these changes, and a lot of the time, at the expense of other people or our environment. If you've ever wondered why you should take the initiative to make a difference for the better instead of letting the world change on its own, here are some reasons most everyone can find common ground with. -Modern Corporations Can't Change - In the legal world, laws say powerhouse businesses can not give money away to charities or causes. The government won't give that money away so freely when they can use it to create jobs or other things tax money goes into. So if they can't make the change, we have to look elsewhere to try and change the world. This is where public benefit companies (PBC) come into play. Public benefit companies is another term for any company that is able to give money away to a cause or organization, whether this be for-profit, non-profit, or a corporation who makes money for the sole purpose of giving it away. Why aren't we seeing more of these? These companies need help and support to survive, and that's why we need to help them make the change in the world. - People are dying while we live comfortable lives - Why are there so many overweight people, and at the same time, so many people suffering from starvation? Why are people dying from easily cured illnesses while others hardly ever get sick? Why are people dying from lack of weather protection when others are living in mansions that spread across acres of land? There are simple solutions to these, and people can help make the difference, this takes support, and is another reason we need to change the world. - The environment is suffering - As mini malls, track housing, roads, and all of the other city amenities are built, we are losing more and more of our environment, and with it, our wildlife. If you've ever heard "the circle of life" being used before, as cliche as it may be, it's very true. As we start to eliminate nature, the rest of it will die off as a product to this change. We need to help change this for the better by restoring the environments, and preserving it for the future. If it continues its downward spiral, we'll eventually be cuasing problems and environmental factors we wouldn't want to face. - How to Make this change - Now that we've covered some basic changes that need to be made and why, we should cover how to make these changes, no matter how small our part may be. There are websites galore that cover some of the ideas behind making these changes, and I think it's in everyone's best interest to start, as we all have a part in this world, and we should all do our part to make the difference.
