Windows Data Recovery After Receiving Stop: 0x0000007e Error On A Windows Xp-based Computer

By: Sangy Simmon Home | Computers-and-Technology | Data Recovery

Sometimes you may not be able to achieve the desired system performance or your system suddenly becomes unresponsive. When you later try to start your Windows XP- based computer, you get a terrifying Blue Screen of Death (BSOD) immediately in the beginning. These errors are commonly known as Windows XP STOP errors. These errors may also occur at the time of installing or upgrading your system. The most apparent reasons for such error messages are hard disk corruption, damaged hardware, incompatible system BIOS, power failure, a recently installed hardware or software etc. In most cases, we can easily identify the root cause of the problem by reading the text and the error message parameters. But sometimes these errors are difficult to handle. In those cases, to recover our system from these errors and avoid any risk of data loss, we should go for Windows recovery through a reliable third party utility.

For instance, when you try to install Windows XP on your computer, you may receive the following error message:
â€STOP: 0x0000007E (0xC0000005, 0x804E518E, 0xFC938104, 0xFC937E04)
SYSTEM_THREAD_EXCEPTION_NOT_HANDLED

WUSB54GCx86.sys- Address 92D89498 base at 92D7c000, Datestamp 45c04cc9â€

Causes:
You may have received the error because of the following reasons-
- This error may occur if there is not enough hard disk space on your computer to run Windows XP.
- The system BIOS needs to be updated for running Windows XP.
- The video adapter may not be in sync with Windows XP.
- A damaged system or device driver.
- Corruption in Win32k.sys file.

The system may get hanged or become completely unbootable after you restart your system when the installation completes. As a result, you may lose all the data that was previously stored on your system hard disk. In such circumstances, you can use a backup to recover your precious data. If the backup is missing, you can follow the below mentioned resolution steps to recover Windows.

Resolution:
You may try certain things to resolve this error-
- Check whether the system hard disk has sufficient disk space and if not, you may try installing Windows XP on a different hard disk.
- You should try updating the system BIOS.
- Disable all the recently installed drivers.
- Disable or remove any drivers which are not digitally signed by Microsoft.

If the problem still persists, you should take help of an efficient Windows data recovery software to recover back all the lost or inaccessible data from the system. These software ensure a safe and accurate recovery of data keeping its integrity and authenticity intact.

Stellar Phoenix Windows Recovery software is a good example of such recovery software that recovers all types of Windows files in any scenario of data loss. It is compatible with Windows 7, Vista, Server 2003, XP, and 2000. It can perform Windows partition recovery from deleted or formatted FAT, NTFS, and exFAT file system-based volumes.
