World Cup Review From 1974 To 2006

The tenth World Cup was held in German in 1974. This tournament was in the world soccer technological innovation state and took the "all attacks and all defends" of Dutch as representative and has brought the new vigor for the soccer world. In addition, the West Germany and the Netherlands teams played the final match which was so wonderful that remembered in the annuals of history. In all the audience's cheers, the West Germany was won and this became their second champion in World Cup.

The 11th World Cup was played in 1978 in Argentine. This tournament realized a historical breakthrough, more than 100 teams joined the preliminary contests. Argentine won in the finally match and this was also the fifth time for these host countries to win.

The 12th World Cup was host in Spanish in 1982. Italy and West Germany were in contention for the championship. Then, Italy became the second country who won the third World Cup championship after Brazil.

The 13th World Cup was held in Mexico in 1986. Actually, Colombia should have held this but this country chose to give up because of financial difficulties. Mexico decided to host instead of Colombia, therefore, became the first country who held twice World Cup. Argentina and West Germany were vying for the champion, the superstar Diego Maradona, as a Argentina player, showed him ability in this World Cup. Argentina last won the championship.

The 14th World Cup was played in 1990 in Italian. The West Germany also won the final match for the third time among World Cup after Brazil and Italy.

The 15th World Cup was played in 1994 in U.S.. This tournament was full of exciting scenes and goals. Saudi Arabia entered into the top 16 and won the honor for Asian football. The biggest tragedy of this tournament is the Colombia player who were killed when he back country after kicked the ball into their own door. The Brazil played against Italy for the championship, both won three times World Cup championship before, and Brazil won after the Italy missed the penalty when there was equate within the 120 minutes.

The 16th World Cup in France in 1998 had 32 teams and the biggest black horse was Croatia. In the end, France beat Brazil by 3 to 0 won the prize.

The 17th World Cup was held by Korea Republic and Japan in 2002, this was also the first time for two countries to host World Cup together in history. Brazil won the fifth World Cup championship.

The 18th World Cup was held in Germany in 2006. This was the second time for Germany to hold World Cup, and Italy got the final championship.
