Young Snooker Stars Rising To The Top

By: James Dacanay Home | Shopping-and-Products

Pool tables and snookers tables are a common feature of many pubs, bars and other public venues. Such places are where a considerable number of professionals in the sports got their first taste of competition on the felt.

And according to a bettor.com blog, there is a wave of new talent that is set to rock the world of snooker in coming months and years.

It stated: "As the plethora of fresh blood continues to flow in, the current snooker players will have to give way to the new talent. As the law of nature suggests that nothing stays forever, unfortunately the current snooker players dominating the scene will fall victims to entropy."

"As the current snooker muscles will decay with the passage of time ... the young talent with improvised skills and abilities will challenge the old and eventually replace them."

Among those who have been honing their skills on pool tables and snookers tables across the country and who may challenge for the top, according to the news source, is Mark Selby.

According to bettor.com, he is the "most promising and talented among the potential world champions". It also noted that he has already ascended to the 16th spot in world rankings.

Meanwhile, also getting a mention was Mark Joyce, who it described as a "fine cueist" from England.

In addition, fellow countryman Judd Trump is also likely to shine in times to come, it claimed, stating: "The world number-26 is talk of the town as he has proved his talent over the years in a marvellous manner."

Snooker has origins dating back to the latter half of the 19th century and it has risen in popularity since this point. A major development occurred in 1969 when David Attenborough, who was a top BBC official at the time, commissioned the tournament Pot Black to demonstrate the potential of colour TV.
