Your Diet And Cancer

By: Ronald W. Firquain Home | Cancer

It has been proven in numerous studies that eating food that is high in acids and alkaline is dangerous to one's health. This is because when the body is not able to cope with it, the immune system is weakened and makes the person susceptible to various diseases and illnesses.

One example is by buying a ph kit and testing it using one's saliva or urine. Should this go below or over 6.75 or 7.5, then the individual may suffer from something such as a headache or muscle pain. If certain measures are not taken to alleviate this, before anyone knows it, the doctor will be bringing the sad news that the patient has just been diagnosed with cancer.

Should people only do something about it when it is too late? The answer is no because there are ways to prevent this before the situation gets worse.

One way is by making some changes in the diet. This means having some fruits and vegetables as part of the daily pH diet. Steaks are great especially during a barbecue but this should not be done regularly and substituted with healthier stuff such as fish, bread and pasta.

There are different ways of cooking and steaming seems to be the best since it does not rely on cooking oil and other chemicals. Studies have shown this method keeps the nutritional value of the vegetables. The only downside is that it is sometimes tasteless so the person will add some seasoning to for flavoring.

Those who rely on microwave cooking should stop doing so immediately. This is because it also takes away the nutritional value of the produce just like when it is cooked in a frying pan.

Aside from eating a healthier diet, this should also be followed by drinking the right fluids. Believe it not, water is still the best thing around even if fruit juices, teas and other beverages are available. This is because a large percentage of the human body is made of hydrogen and needs it as fuel in order to function properly.

Diet and cancer studies show that many farmers and people are switching to organic foods. This is because no fertilizer is added in making these products so there are no harmful chemicals and substances present.

Some people claim red wine is good for the body. The person should remember to take this in moderation and then stop drinking beer, colas and coffee that contain phosphoric acid.

The person's pH levels may also be higher or lower than normal due to stress. This means the individual should learn to relax every so often. It does not mean going on a vacation but simply getting enough hours of sleep and finding ways to release the tension in the body.

The body needs oxygen in order to function. If the pH levels are not normal, this also affects the air coming in which can also make one susceptible to cancer. This can be balanced by exercising.

Those who have busy schedules can try walking or running in the morning. Those who want to get pumped can work out in the gym. Studies show that physical activity releases endorphins making one feel happy and full of positive energy that can counter the negativity and prevent tumor growth.
