My name is Ed Byrd and I'm a recording addict.

I have been in band since I was thirteen years old and got my first Four Track round the same time. I used to waste hours up in my room working on songs and rebounding the tracks around so I could turn my Four Track into an Eight Track. Whoopee!

Since then I have gone thru various different pieces of recording gear, and have now settled forcefully on a Mac Pro running Pro Tools, Reason and Garage Band.

I also run a home recording web site and have written a book on the topic which is available on my site.

now music is my job as well as my passion so life is good.
